Damini Bhatla Early Life And Education
Damini Bhatla was born on July 4, 1996, to parents CH Radha Krishna and Sri Jhansi in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. Damini’s early life was steeped in music because of her older sister Mounima Bhatla, who is also a musician. Damini’s family originally lived in Kakinada, where she was first exposed to Carnatic music by Smt. Akunda Satyavathi. But, after moving to Hyderabad, her musical path took a pivotal turn.
Damini’s official studies in Carnatic music developed under the tutelage of masters like Sri DV Mohan Krishna and Sri NC Murthy. Damini, a student at Little Flower Junior College in Hyderabad, continues to showcase her ability and dedication as a singer while also juggling her academic obligations.
Damini Bhatla Career
In her teens, Damini Bhatla saw a surge in interest in her work. She was a contestant on S.P. Balasubramanyam’s famed singing reality show Padutha Theeyaga and appeared on shows like ‘Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champions’. Her remarkable abilities shone through, and in 2011 she came in second place, a major turning point in her career.
When Damini sang the beautiful “Pachcha Bottesina” for SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster “Baahubali: The Beginning,” a tide turned. MM Keeravani’s composition won worldwide recognition, and it helped launch Damini’s career as a playback vocalist.
